The views from the ridge where the lodge is located are the most spectacular of any lodge in Ecuador. For over ten years, the Yachana Lodge was used as an eco-friendly and education-based facility emphasizing teaching about sustainable practices and promoting awareness through hands-on experiences in farming and indigenous customs. During the past two years, it has undergone a complete renovation, with all significant structures having been renovated from top to bottom.
