Ideal climate for people who like the heat... it stays warm in the rainy season as well as in the dry season...(no cold rainy weather like in higher elevations). So you will be able to enjoy an outdoorsy lifestyle and eat every meal outdoors on your patio. The house is bright and divided into 2 units, so the possibility exits to use one of the bedrooms as a rental-unit. One half of the house features the 2 bed-rooms and bath-rooms and the other half consists of a large kitchen and living-room area divided by a mechon/ half-opened divider-wall built with ornamental blocks. The roof is made of Tejalit, a red material which looks better than aluminum and does not produce the annoying loud sound like rain on aluminum.
Though this neighbourhood is extremely safe, the windows and doors are secured with ironwork arranged in a decorative patterns like sunrise, birds etc. for your comfort and a guarantied air-flow, no need to close the wooden doors at night.
This convenient location will satisfy a nature-lover and presents for sure a birder's paradise with hummingbirds, woodpeckers, bluebirds, Sangre de toro ,cocalecas, cranes, parakeets, parrots and many more even birds of prey falcons , several different species of hawks and buzzards ...the black squirrels entertain you with their acrobatic performances trying to steal the bananas from the bird-feeder. Occasionally you will be able to spot a bunny ,a chameleon , an iguanas or an opossums....Might hear or spot an occasional coyote...
From the back porch you have an outstanding view all the way to Volcan Baru and a horse grazes on the pasture with a little creek running through it...very peaceful and idyllic.
The house is built strong to withstand any strong winds and the foundation sits high on the ground so that even during stronger rainy season flooding never occurred.
The residence is located at the end of a little alley way and guarantees your privacy, quietness and seclusion with a very natural setting though it is very close to the center of the little town of Gualaca which has a Centro de Salud, various little clinics, doctor offices, two banks , ATM machine, pharmacy, multiple hardware stores and several restaurants, a Colombian bakery and several small Panamanian bakeries, little markets, fruit stands and more... everything you need for daily life and of course plenty of churches and different bars as well.
The rodeo ground of Gualaca features the National Panamanian Rodeo contest ! Gualaca is famous for the beautiful Cangilones, a fun swim Canyon with beautiful rock formations for swimming, climbing and sunbathing and walks in the jungle forest. Please take a look on you Tube. The well-maintained center Park located right in front of the Catholic church is the local meeting spot (free internet).
The local bus leaves every 20 to 30 minutes to David and the bus from David to Changuinola runs hourly . The distance to Boquete by car is about 35 min., Calderas about 20 min., David about 30 min., airport David 45 min., Almirante about 2.5 hrs and a 20 min. boat-ride to Bocas de Torro islands.
Gualaca is perfectly located and close to lots of swimming opportunities besides the Cangilones.. several refreshing waterfalls, hanging bridges, two Hot Springs and much more..
You can reach the beaches of La Barqueta, Las Lajas, Boca Chica and Boca Brava in approx.an hour and 15 minutes. Heading up the road towards Changuinola you find yourself in cooler climates in about 20 minutes with lots of opportunities to walk jungle trails through the cloud forest of La Fortuna ...more waterfalls and rivers and the large Fortuna reservoir.
