The Best Views in Nosara
A few years ago we set out to find the best views in the Nosara area that had not been discovered.
We rode motorbikes, quads, and horses, hiked through jungles while trying to get to the top of every ridge, outcrop, and hilltop we could find. We carefully considered each view and through the process were able to really know what views were the best.
All in all we spent about a year looking at hundreds of properties.
We finally found it and it’s the perfect place for you to call home! We found what we were looking for in the San Juan mountains, specifically two ridges that appeared to be placed by the hands of god to see a huge chunk of coast line and jungle.
From this location you will see a panorama that includes jungles, ridges, islands, river mouths, sunsets, white sand beaches, wave pounded reef, and a cliff lined Punta Guiones that juts into the sea.
The staggering view is the result of a geographical anomaly on this coast. Because the coastline bends towards a northern direction around Punta Guiones it makes it possible to see huge distances north and south from this vantage point.
On a clear day you can see Cabo Blanco Island off the southern tip of the Guanacaste peninsula That is about 46 miles (73km) away! And that’s only on the left side of the view!
Of course there are not many lots that have have this view, but there are a couple that do and the ones that don’t can still see a huge chunk of coast and Jungle.
We named this area Atalaya which means watch tower or lookout, and we think you will agree this the perfect name for this section.
